Plantita Remembrance is an interactive, ancestral herbal learning collective where we dive deep into seasonal medicine-making using herbs from the Caribbean plant wisdom lens.
We believe that the best way to reawaken the senses to the innate connection we have with the plants of our ancestors, and the intelligence that these plants hold, is by directly interacting with them.
This is why the foundation of this offering is to get the plants directly to you, so you can see, taste, touch, smell, intuit…
This offering also integrates the physical, energetic, and spiritual properties of plants and how we can connect with them in a conscious way. We deep dive into storytelling as a form of remembrance work as we journey with the plantitas. We integrate somatic tools, learn organ systems, as well as more technical herbal vocabulary / knowledge.
You also join a community of other herbal learners via an interactive chat thread to connect and ask questions. We are currently enrolling students for the Plantita Remembrance : Primavera session.
Tiers of Registration
Tier 1:
This tier is to attend all 4 classes of the course (live and receive recording), the e-book with all 4 plantita monographs, and your plant kit that we will be using for medicine-making. The home address you provide at check out is going to be where your plant kit will be delivered. There are 22 available spots at this tier, first come first serve. Register for Tier 1 Here.
Tier 2:
This tier is to attend all four classes (live and receive recording), but not to receive a plant kit. you get to soak in all of the wisdom, get the e-book with all 4 plantita monographs, and partake in all of our activities. Register for Tier 2 Here.
Tier 3:
This tier is to attend 1 single session of the course (live and receive recording), but not to receive a plant kit. you get to soak in all of the wisdom, the single monograph with the plantita information of the class you select to join, and partake in the class activity / story sharing. Meet Your Instructors
Kate is a practicing herbalist rooted in the Puerto Rican folk tradition who is interested in revitalizing ancestral connection within the extensive diaspora of the Caribbean. She believes that when we are connected to our roots, we contact our inherent power and reverence for life. After completing an herbal apprenticeship in the Puerto Rican tradition, she began to utilize her background (Bachelor of Science in Education), to teach others within community. She is currently completing an intensive training in clinical skills and holistic therapeutics for herbalism. Her ultimate desire is to raise our consciousness, vibrancy, and soul-selves with connection to the land and plants.
Cultivating wellness through tradition, Dezirae's journey with healing began over a decade ago, exploring the connections between body, energy, and the natural world. Her Caribbean roots (PR & DR) instilled a deep respect for plants and their power. This led her to delve into Traditional Chinese Medicine and the fascinating world of mycology (fungi!). Fueled by a passion for cultivation and a belief in self-empowerment, Dezirae highly values the role of plants in holistic wellness. She envisions vibrant permaculture gardens and thriving communities empowered by herbal wisdom. Her mission is to cultivate a "regenerative consciousness" that fosters cultural sovereignty and freedom.
